How to make a Donation?

Langley Park Boys and Girls Club is 501c non profit organization. You can make a donation to the club and take it off your taxes. Not only does your donation impact on the quality of the services we offer the children, it is a tax deduction to you.

You can also make your donation on line by by clicking on the Donate button below. Enter the amount you wish to donate and you will be taken to a secured online Pay Pal site and your donation will be processed and sent to us.

Upon receipt of your contribution, you will be sent an acknowledgement letter, thanking you. Thank you in advance. You are making a difference in a child’s life and our world. It’s much appreciated.

Thank you for considering our request for help in making repairs to the Langley Park Boys and Girls Club. The Club has been in existence since 1950. When a group of citizens decided to form a club that would use athletic competition to benefit and train the youth. Since its inception The Club has been funded and staffed by volunteers. At one point the club did enjoy funding from the United Way and did employ a janitor, a director, and a part time helper. But the majority of our funding remains and has always been generated through the efforts and the good will of people just like you.

Saving the youth has and always will be the number 1 priority of the Boys and Girls Club. The empathy of our volunteers is the single most driving force in our club. Never is there a profit to be had or are we motivated by personal gain other than the fact that we feel a special pride in helping young people get on with their lives. Our building was bought with the credit of individuals on money loaned by a bank, not grants or any kind of government funds. We believe in self-sufficiency and time and time again we have demonstrated our dedication to this cause. We need your help to continue. We believe you will agree this is a righteous cause devoid of any selfish considerations. And we believe that we have demonstrated that all funds entrusted to our cause will go for the purposes stated and none other. We are 501c organization in good standing with both the federal and local government.

We are not only asking good citizens like you for help, but we are also conducting fundraisers to supplement the contributions received. We do expect to generate an annual income between 60 and one hundred thousand dollars per year.

As you can imagine we cannot charge our members too much for membership. Therefore we expect each member to pay somewhere between 0 and $50 for member ship. We expect to sign a minimum of 100 members.
